Apex Legends has pulled E-District (night) from every map rotation, and E-District (day) is rotating in to fill the gap. Respawn posted the change in its latest update notes on 6 November 2026 (US Pacific time).

It’s a small patch, but a pointed one: the night version has clearly been hard to see in.

Map change

  • E-District (night) is removed from all map rotations.
  • E-District (day) is rotating in instead.

What Respawn says is coming

In a dev note, Respawn says it’s working on a handful of high impact changes to improve visibility on E-District night. The studio still wants to keep the feel of a neon-soaked city, but not at the cost of being able to see.

The planned tweaks are:

  • Reduced fog density
  • Increased fog distance
  • Adjusted colour balance

Respawn says it anticipates bringing back an improved E-District (night) near the end of the month, later this split. It also thanked players for their continued feedback.
