Apex Legends: Cipher gameplay trailer teases Crypto's Surveillance Drone and a rewired EMP
Respawn's Apex Legends: Cipher gameplay trailer is out, with a Crypto Surveillance Drone, rewired EMP, dual Akimbo Wingman and Stronghold raids.
Respawn has released the Apex Legends: Cipher gameplay trailer, posted to Steam through Community Announcements. The pitch is that in this Arena, the deadliest weapon isn’t a gun, it’s information.
Crypto gets a firmware upgrade
According to the announcement, Crypto’s new firmware upgrade brings a battery-powered Surveillance Drone that tags on sight. The idea is to help you gather essential intel for your squad.
His EMP Ultimate has also been rewired. The announcement doesn’t spell out what has changed.
Weapons and loot
The announcement also lists a couple of other additions:
- A dual Akimbo Wingman, which Respawn describes as a way to double your firepower
- Strongholds you can raid for major loot
Revenant and Lifeline rebooted
Revenant and Lifeline are both rebooted, which Respawn pitches as a way to seize the advantage. The announcement says there’s more on top of that, but doesn’t list it.
