Blizzard is marking Diablo’s 30th anniversary with Legacy of Terror, a six-day event in Diablo II: Resurrected (D2R). It starts at 12pm AEDT on Saturday 14 November 2026 and runs until 12pm AEDT on Friday 20 November. Blizzard says it’s meant to launch your Season 16 Ladder experience, and it’s open to both Ladder and Non-Ladder players.

Other Australian start times on Saturday 14 November: 11am AEST in Brisbane, 11:30am ACDT in Adelaide and 9am AWST in Perth. It ends at the same local times on Friday 20 November.

What’s in the event

  • Diablo Clone every six hours: In Hell difficulty only, the Diablo Clone is a guaranteed spawn once every six hours. It works like the current system, where the Clone replaces a Super Unique in Hell.
  • Terrorized Zones everywhere: Once you’ve beaten Baal on Normal, Nightmare or Hell, that difficulty gets Terrorized Zones in all zones at the same time.
  • Cow Portal on tap: After defeating Baal on a difficulty, you can enter a special Cow Portal straight from the Rogue Encampment. It stays active for the whole event, so there’s no trip to Tristram.
  • Better loot and prices: You get 100% Magic Find and a 15% discount at all vendors, Gamblers included, on every difficulty.
  • Hell Bovine Minions: Monsters have a rare chance to be reanimated as Hell Bovine Minions, at all difficulty levels.

Not a fan of Terrorized Zones?

You can switch the all-zones Terrorized feature off in the Game Creation (gear) menu on the Character Select screen, or in the Lobby when creating a game. Blizzard says doing so won’t affect any other part of the event.
