Sea of Thieves November 2026 events: Twitch Drops, a Bilge Rats Weekender and a 19 November update

Rare has laid out the Sea of Thieves calendar for November 2026, and the headline items are a game update on Thursday 19 November that shrinks the install, plus a Black Friday sale with the Golden Skull Sails returning. The studio’s round-up was posted on Steam on 6 November 2026.

The November update

The update arrives on Thursday 19 November, and Rare says the game will be taken down beforehand to get things in place. Dates here are as Rare gives them, so check the time in your own region.

• A complete redownload is needed. Rare says that’s because of improved file compression, which means the game will take up much less space on your devices.
• Custom Seas gets improvements, including tweaks to the Free Camera and more items on the Spawn Menu.
• Old Boot Fort returns as a Legendary Location.
• The Pirate Emporium gets the Orchid’s Sting set.
• More quality-of-life additions are on the way.

Events through the month

• Last Ship Standing: Sloops runs Tuesday 3 November to Tuesday 10 November. Solo or duo crews on a Sloop pick a Faction with the Hourglass of Fate, then jump into a six-ship free-for-all in the Sea of the Damned. Cosmetics and Doubloons are on offer.
• Twitch Drops run Friday 6 November to Wednesday 11 November. Watch a Sea of Thieves Partner or Affiliate Alliance stream with your accounts linked to unlock gold, Renown and cosmetics. Six hours of viewing unlocks everything, including the new Hidden Treasures Hat.
• Bilge Rats Weekender runs Friday 13 November to Monday 16 November, with Challenges, fireworks and Doubloons. The Festival of Fishing returns too, with a Hunter’s Call Emissary Flag and two limited Voyages.
• Renown Rally runs Friday 20 November to Monday 23 November, boosting Renown earnings to help you climb the Season 21 Season Pass. Season 21 ends in December.

Weekly events

Emissaries of Fortune is active every Wednesday, as a 24-hour event from 10am to 10am UTC with increased rewards for raising an Emissary Flag.

Fight Nights runs every Tuesday, with an Allegiance multiplier on Faction Battle rewards. It takes a week off whenever Last Ship Standing is on.

Black Friday sale

The Pirate Emporium sale runs Wednesday 25 November to Wednesday 2 December. Rare says discounts reach up to 50% on almost everything in stock, including items from Sea of Thieves: A Pirate’s Life and The Legend of Monkey Island. The Golden Skull Sails come back for the length of the sale only.
