Battlefield Studios has announced the Casino Heist event and the European Casino map for Battlefield 6, with REDSEC activities part of the event too.

Casino Heist event

Casino Heist is a limited-time event built around Contracts. These are challenges that ask you to capture objectives, earn eliminations, support teammates, complete REDSEC activities or deal damage. Some will tick off on their own, while others may nudge you to switch classes or try a different approach.

The studio’s tip is to look for where objectives overlap, since one successful push can count toward several Contracts at once.

Every completed Contract pays out DOUGH, the event’s limited-time currency. You exchange it for rewards, and more unlock as your earnings grow:

  • Weapon Stickers and Patches
  • Vehicle Decals and Vehicle Skins
  • Player Card customisation items
  • A Weapon Package
  • New Heist-themed Soldier Skin variants

European Casino map

European Casino takes the spectacle of Las Vegas and turns it into a fast-paced infantry map. It’s set in a grand European-themed resort, with luxury hotels, high-end shopping districts, casino floors and resort grounds. Destruction can open up new routes in seconds.

The centrepiece is a tower visible from nearly every corner of the map. When it falls, the middle of the map changes with it. It stands more than 120 metres tall, and the team says it took repeated testing to make the collapse dramatic without leaving an impassable pile of rubble.

Senior Level Designer Samuel Kack said the capture points were inspired by the eccentricity of Vegas casino themes, from fake skies over shopping streets to Santorini-inspired resort areas. The aim was to avoid a map that feels like “a military operation covered in sandbags”, using slot machines and other casino props instead.

The studio points players to the guides at EA.com for the full breakdown of the event and the map.
