Patch NotesDiablo II: Resurrected
Diablo II: Resurrected Ladder Season 16 starts November 13 with Patch 3.4 item changes
Diablo II: Resurrected Ladder Season 16 kicks off with Patch 3.4, bringing big unique and set item changes, conversion changes and bug fixes.

Diablo II: Resurrected Ladder Season 16 arrives with Patch 3.4, and it’s a big one for item fans: a long list of uniques and sets get reworked, ten Ladder-only items open up to Non-Ladder, and character conversion rules change.
When it starts
Blizzard’s schedule is in Pacific time, so here’s how it lands in Australia:
- Season 15 ends: 11 a.m. PST, Monday November 9 (6am AEDT Tuesday 10 November in Sydney; 3am AWST in Perth)
- Patch 3.4 begins rolling out: Monday November 9
- Season 16 starts: 5 p.m. PST, Friday November 13 (12pm AEDT Saturday 14 November in Sydney; 11am AEST in Brisbane; 9am AWST in Perth)
Season 16 runs the usual four modes: Ladder and Hardcore Ladder with the Lord of Destruction expansion, plus Pre-Expansion versions limited to the original four acts.
Check your stash
When Season 15 ends, Ladder characters move to their non-ladder group. Their Shared Stash items go into Withdraw Only tabs, marked with a checked Past box. Anything from Season 14 still sitting in those tabs is lost at that point.
You get all of Season 16 to pull out what you want to keep from Season 15. Blizzard says to get items out before the tabs are overwritten, or they’ll be lost for good.
Character conversion
From November 16, Expansion (LoD) Online characters, Ladder or Non-Ladder, can no longer convert to Reign of the Warlock. Offline characters and Classic to Expansion (LoD) conversions still work.
Item changes
These apply to Reign of the Warlock only, not Classic or LoD.
- Now in Online Non-Ladder: Angelic Raiment, Bane Ash, Blinkbat’s Form, Bloodletter, Gravenspine, Manald Heal, Pluckeye, Rogue’s Bow, The Battlebranch and The Ward.
- Changed in Online Ladder and Offline only: Dimoak’s Hew, Serpent Lord, Griswold’s Edge, The Salamander, The Tannr Gorerod, The Grim Reaper, Silks of the Victor, The Impaler, Coldkill, The Atlantean, Lava Gout, Earthshaker, Grim’s Burning Dead, Swordguard, Demonhorn’s Edge, Veil of Steel, Ethereal Edge, Executioner’s Justice, Isenhart’s Armory and Eternity.
- Examples: The Tannr Gorerod’s Enhanced Damage goes from +80-100% to +200-220% and it gains life steal. The Atlantean drops its required level from 42 to 35. Lava Gout now makes the wearer unable to be frozen. Eternity now fits 5-socket missile weapons as well as melee, and gains +30 Increased Attack Speed.
Bug fixes
- Jewels now drop if the last Uber Ancients boss is killed after long periods away from the Colossal Summit.
- Health regen and degen effects no longer stall on damage events in online games.
- A Warlock’s bound demon no longer loses behaviour if Inferno is interrupted by a portal trip.
- The online Terror Zone toggle now remembers your previous choice.
- Connection errors no longer wrongly show “You have not been online in the last 30 days”.
- Auto-Party Invite now gets players into games properly.
- Fixes for missing HD decals, Lobby search display, the Remove Only checkbox, and various freezes and crashes.
