Pool of Radiance: Ruins of Myth Drannor, the 2001 D&D party RPG, is out now on Steam for Windows at A$28.95, with widescreen and controller support.

Pool of Radiance: Ruins of Myth Drannor is out now on Steam for Windows. The store page lists a release date of 7 November 2026 in Sydney, and the Australian price is A$28.95.
Stormfront Studios developed it and SNEG is the publisher. It first came out in 2001, and the Steam page says this is the first time it’s been available digitally.
What it is
This is a turn-based party RPG set in the Forgotten Realms, using Dungeons & Dragons rules. A new Pool of Radiance has turned up beneath New Phlan, and Elminster calls on you to head into the ruined elven city of Myth Drannor and stop a sorceress and a dracolich from turning its power against the realm.
You create up to four heroes and recruit two more along the way, for a party of six. Characters can reach 16th level and cast 8th-level spells, and there are over 90 spells in all.
You can play true turn-based, or switch on an optional turn timer for a more action-focused, higher-pressure style of fight.
What’s new in the re-release
The store page lists a string of upgrades:
- Sharper visuals and widescreen support, including 4K
- Fixes for numerous bugs from the original game
- An improved interface with an action bar and tooltips
- Full controller support and reworked camera control
- Adjustable combat animation speed
- An optional “Legacy” mode that preserves the original gameplay and visuals
In-game settings let you choose how much of the enhancement work you want to use. The page also says the game runs smoothly on modern hardware.
