007 First Light Free Starter Pack is out now on Steam
IO Interactive has released the free 007 First Light Starter Pack on Steam, a playable intro chapter with young James Bond, and the Deluxe Edition is 40% off.
IO Interactive announced on 5 November 2026 that the Free Starter Pack for 007 First Light is out now on Steam. It gives you a free taste of the game’s opening chapter before you decide whether to buy in.
What’s in the Starter Pack
The pack covers the introduction to the game. You play a young Naval air crewman, James Bond, as he tries to survive a military operation that has gone wrong.
IO Interactive describes the chapter as a mix of staying hidden, discovering intel and defying the odds. It calls this the official first step towards what the studio is branding “Earn The Number”.
A trailer for the Free Starter Pack was released alongside the announcement, if you’d like a look at the opening before you jump in.
Deluxe Edition discount
Alongside the free pack, the announcement points to the Deluxe Edition being 40% off. If the opening chapter hooks you, that’s the offer IO Interactive is putting front and centre.
The Steam store page for the game is here. The source names PC as the platform for this release.
