Pearl Abyss has rolled out hotfix 2.04.00 for Crimson Desert Enhanced, and it’s mostly a tidy-up: some skill fixes, smoother ship camera behaviour, a few housing bugs squashed and one handy combat tweak. The patch is available now on Steam for both PC and Mac.

One thing to know: Pearl Abyss says the game version will keep displaying as 2.04.00 even after you’ve installed the patch. The improvements still apply, and the version number will update correctly with future patches.

Combat and skills

  • Certain “Ascend” skills weren’t being applied correctly. That’s fixed.
  • Damiane’s Shield Toss could be used repeatedly underwater. That’s been fixed.
  • Glowing Seeds can now be taken out during combat.

Ships

  • The camera distance no longer changes after aiming the ship cannon.
  • The camera no longer moves awkwardly when boarding a ship.

Housing

  • Certain plants no longer appear to poke through housing.
  • Item placement in housing could be misaligned when your monitor resolution differed from the in-game resolution. That’s been fixed.

Quests and world

  • The quest “Footsteps in Unfamiliar Lands” has been improved so the mission can be started from the starting location.
  • Kliff could respawn in an inaccessible area under certain conditions after dying in the desert. That’s fixed.

Pearl Abyss also points players to its Crimson Desert Known Issues notice for problems still being tracked.
