Terrible Lizards has a new patch, version 1.0.9, and it’s all about unsticking players. WDR Studios says it fast-tracked a handful of fixes for the more annoying problems that have turned up since release, with more work already under way.

Progression and soft-lock fixes

  • The title screen could get stuck and carry over into gameplay, effectively soft-locking progression. That’s fixed.
  • Some calls with Stella could lock various buttons and break progression.
  • Levels that didn’t load or unload properly have been addressed in several cases.

Movement and controls

  • Players sometimes died immediately on entering a slide.
  • Controllers could get locked out of sprinting.
  • During one particular cutscene, players could move while sliding and immediately fly off a cliff.

Hunt fixes

  • In the second Bronto hunt, an invisible collider could be left behind after some boulders fell.
  • In the second Allo hunt, not all four fuses would work.

What’s next

The studio is still digging through feedback and asks players who hit any of these issues to report back on whether things look better. If your problem isn’t on the list, WDR Studios says the next update is already in progress.
