Sports Interactive has started rolling out Minor Update 1 for Football Manager 27. It fixes a UEFA squad registration bug that could leave senior players unregistered, and makes the Advanced Setup screen easier to use. The update is going out across all platforms supporting the Free Play Launch Preview.

What’s changed

  • Advanced Setup now has a clickable scroll bar, which should make it easier to pick clubs at the bottom of a long league list.
  • Squad registration messages sometimes failed to appear for UEFA club competitions, leaving senior players unregistered. That’s been fixed.
  • If you’d hit that registration problem, the Save Game option could become unselectable. That’s fixed too.

Sports Interactive says the team identified, solved and verified these issues over the weekend.

What’s coming next

Another FM27 update is planned to support the full launch on 10 November, and Sports Interactive says it will bring further optimisations.

After that comes the game’s first post-launch update, which will deal with more player reports. One focus is the 3D match engine, where the team is combining internal data with player reports to decide which changes to make. Those reports cover defensive behaviour, pressing and chance creation, among other things.

Sports Interactive is also asking players to keep using the bug reporting system if they run into anything the team should look at.
