Warframe: Tau update lands in December with Brysko, new Tau Star Chart and Perita

Digital Extremes has announced that Warframe: Tau is coming this December, and the studio calls it its most expansive update ever. It’s a trip to a whole new region of space, and the source names PC as the platform.

Meet Brysko, the 67th Warframe

Brysko is a world-weary, noir-inspired detective who patrols the streets of Fornax. His inner monologue is voiced by Matt Mercer.

He comes with a set of Abilities, a Hound Companion, and signature gear including the Rain & Shine Fist Weapons and the Corecracker Exalted Pistol.

The first Chimera Skin

Brysko also debuts a new class of premium Customizations, starting with the Chimera Skin. Like a Protoframe, you’ll be able to swap between his Warframe and Chimera aspects on the fly. The Chimera look gives a more Sentient appearance and voice-acted dialogue.

The Tau Star Chart

The Tau System is a new region where you can take on Missions and explore new worlds. The Origin System isn’t going away, and Digital Extremes says there will still be plenty to do there.

December kicks off with two locations:

• Fornax, a mob-run ring city
• Perita, a stretch of badlands

More worlds are planned for future updates.

What’s happening on Perita

Perita once thrived after the events of The Old Peace, but its ecosystem has since collapsed into a hostile desert. Feuding clans of Dazannah live there, and resources and allies are hard to come by.

The last unconquered clan is in serious trouble. The chieftain’s young son, Catulast, turns to the clan’s ancient foe, the Tenno, for help.
