DragDrop Games says Moon Sweepers, its game about cleaning the Moon with a toothbrush, has passed 600,000 players just one week after launch. The studio reports a peak of 70,000 concurrent players, and has shared a first look at what’s coming next on PC.

Update 1.1 is planned for December 2026

The developer calls Moon Sweepers 1.1 its first major content update and says it will add a lot more depth. Here’s the sneak peek it gave:

  • New production machines: more machines and production chains in the factory system.
  • New materials and products: turn lunar resources into more valuable materials through more complex production lines.
  • More tools and upgrades: new ways to clean the Moon and improve your equipment.
  • Better automation: more options for building large automated cleaning operations.
  • Better buildings: more building options and improvements to make designing and expanding bases easier.
  • Expanded progression: more reasons to keep growing your factory.
  • Performance improvements: continued optimisation for larger bases and more complex factories.

The studio says it’s especially focused on making the late game more rewarding, with more to unlock and bigger factories to build. It adds that everything listed is still in development and may change before release, with more details and previews due closer to December.

What happens when the Moon is clean?

Some players have been wondering what comes after cleaning the entire Moon. The developer’s answer is “More work.” It has plans for post-clean content but isn’t ready to reveal them, hinting that cleaning the Moon “might only be the beginning” of your career.

Fixes continue

DragDrop Games says it has been fixing bugs and improving the game since launch, reads player feedback daily, and is aiming to deliver updates as quickly as it can.

Another lunar game just launched

The studio also gave a shoutout to Totally Safe Moon Project, which is out now on Steam. It can be played solo or in online co-op with up to 3 friends, and has you building a tower to the Moon to deliver a powerful laser and save humanity.
