Euro Truck Simulator 2 Iceland DLC previews Reykjavík and four Special Transport routes
SCS Software shows Reykjavík and four new Special Transport routes in the ETS2 Iceland DLC for Euro Truck Simulator 2, due 10 November.

SCS Software has taken a closer look at Reykjavík in its upcoming Iceland DLC for Euro Truck Simulator 2, which releases on 10 November. The studio also revealed four new Special Transport routes on the island.
Reykjavík up close
The capital sits on the Seltjarnarnes peninsula, and SCS says space was tight. The map designers had to balance the road network, industries and landmarks while leaving room for the surrounding landscape.
Route 41, linking Reykjavík with Keflavík, is recreated and runs through industrial areas towards the waterfront. There’s also a short stretch of Route 49, which connects the city to the Ring Road (Hringvegur).
Depots and places to visit
Truckers will find a mix of delivery spots in and around the city:
- The Straumsvík aluminium smelter
- A farming area in Mosfellsdalur, near Route 36
- Garðabær, with an IKA store and a logistics hub
- Sundahöfn, with a large container port and a recycling company
- An oil storage facility near the city
You can also find a Volvo truck dealership, a service station and a garage to buy. Along the waterfront, landmarks include the Harpa Concert Hall and Conference Centre, the Central Bank of Iceland, the yellow lighthouses, the statue of Ingólfur Arnarson and the Sun Voyager sculpture. The Hallgrímskirkja church tower dominates the skyline. The coach terminal has been moved slightly from its real-world position to fit the map’s scale.
BIG in Iceland: Special Transport routes
Four new routes are coming for owners of the Euro Truck Simulator 2 Special Transport DLC. You’ll haul oversized loads with escort teams, including reservoir tanks, silos, boats, enormous tyres and underground loaders.
There’s also a new cargo, the Articulated Dumper, which was previously only available in American Truck Simulator. The routes are:
- Selfoss to Selfoss
- Keflavík to Selfoss
- Blönduós to Akureyri
- Ólafsvík to Hólmavík
The Iceland DLC is for PC, and you can add it to your Steam wishlist ahead of 10 November.
